On September 22 and 27, training sessions were held for newly registered student supporters this year.
The theme of the workshop was “Touring Sightseeing Spots Related to Date Masamune,” and the participants visited Zuihouden Mausoleum and the ruins of Sendai Castle aboard Loople Sendai to learn how to use Loople Sendai and how to guide visitors to popular sightseeing spots in English. Sendai Convention Bureau plans to continue to offer such programs for registered supporters to help them in their volunteer activities at international conferences.
Now when convention participants ask our volunteers about local recommendations or details of these attractions, they will be able to answer with confidence using their first-hand experience! Dispatching student volunteers and veteran excursion volunteers for conferences held in Sendai is one of the many services the Sendai Convention Bureau happily offers MICE organizers.
