On Wednesday, February 14, 2024, the “MICE Level Up Seminar,” which has been held annually since 2016, was held at the Sendai International Center in the form of a panel discussion under the theme of “International Conferences and Creating Regional Attractiveness” – a review of the Japan Tourism Agency’s “Project to Improve Attractiveness and Competitiveness Post-COVID” (official Japanese name of project: ポストコロナに向けた誘致競争力向上事業).
Professors who hosted conferences adopted under the project were invited to speak on the future of MICE and the creation of regional attractions.
The Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association (Sendai Convention Bureau) supports the creation of a vibrant city through MICE by providing individualized consultation and support, including program proposals, public relations, and dispatching volunteers.
