From May 14 (Tue) to May 16 (Thu), 2024, the Sendai Convention Bureau participated in IMEX Frankfurt 2024, an international MICE trade fair held in Frankfurt, Germany, as a joint exhibitor inside the Japan booth (managed by JNTO) with 15 other organizations. One of our sales team members engaged in three days of business meetings and attended pre-event ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) sessions and a business exchange. This participation allowed us to deepen our knowledge of the MICE industry, uncover current trends, and establish valuable connections.
Over the course of the three-day exhibition, more than 40 business meetings were conducted to showcase Sendai as a premier global MICE destination and to gather leads and information directly from convention and incentive program buyers. This successful participation has further strengthened Sendai’s position in the international MICE market and set the stage for future opportunities.
