The environment surrounding MICE is rapidly recovering in the post-COVID period, with a significant number of international conferences focusing on in-person events. To support these international conferences, the Sendai Convention Bureau offers a unique service: dispatching volunteers as “convention supporters”.
This fiscal year we received numerous applications from eager students to become volunteers. Subsequently, on Saturday June 22, 2024, we held the “2024 Sendai Convention Student Supporter Orientation” at L-SOLA SENDAI (part of the Sendai City Gender Equality Promotion Center) inside the AER Building. During the orientation, participants learned about the roles of language volunteers and the overall structure of international conferences.
The Sendai Convention Bureau strives to connect motivated students with international conference participants. Together with our previously registered volunteers, we will continue to support international conferences held in Sendai.
