On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the Sendai Convention Bureau participated in the “JNTO Incentive Travel Business Meeting (Malaysia)” held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
A total of 19 organizations from Japan exhibited at the event, while 21 travel agencies from Malaysia participated as buyers. Our association held business meetings with 8 travel agencies, sharing the latest information about Sendai and introducing support programs for incentive travel.
Additionally, the day after the business meeting, we visited travel agencies in Kuala Lumpur to exchange information.
By directly visiting the local area, we gained valuable insights into Malaysia’s MICE market and its needs. We aim to utilize this knowledge to enhance our future initiatives, such as providing continuous information and designing support systems to promote attraction efforts.
