On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the Sendai Convention Bureau participated in the “JNTO Incentive Travel Business Meeting (Thailand)” held in Bangkok, Thailand.
A total of 25 organizations from Japan exhibited at the event, while 31 travel agencies from Thailand participated as buyers. Our association held business meetings with 14 travel agencies, sharing the latest information about Sendai and introducing support programs for incentive travel.
Additionally, the day after the business meeting, we visited travel agencies in Bangkok to exchange information.
Based on the information and needs related to the Thai MICE market obtained through our direct visit to the region, we believe that there are many reward ceremonies and overseas incentives for companies in the Thai market, which our division is targeting, and that there is a need for subsidies. Therefore, we will continue to provide information to attract more visitors in the future.
